Square Enix announced during the Tokyo Game Show 2021 event on Sunday that its Final Fantasy VII The First Soldier smartphone game is planned to launch in November. Square Enix will open pre-registration for the game later this month.
Square Enix also announced on Sunday that the game will have controller support, and will also have a training mode. Additionally, Square Enix is revamping the game’s tutorial.
The game is a battle royale-style game that takes place 30 years before the main Final Fantasy VII game.
Square Enix is also developing the Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis smartphone game, which will launch worldwide in 2022.
